Welcome to the website of Redding Paranormal Investigations, also known as RPI, based in the hometown of Redding, California.

Northern California is a ghost haven for paranormal enthusiasts.  Its rich history and miner forty-niner past, gold rushes, saloon fights, hangings and real ghost towns, make it a place worth visiting.

Surrounded by pristine mountains, the north valley boasts much beauty to share.

Every month, RPI receives calls asking for assistance asking us for our help. We do our best to find out what's going on in their building or residence.

Who hasn't wondered what else is out there or what happens when you leave this world, and if there is or is not life after death?

Many of our investigate team members are everyday people, just like you and I, who have had a paranormal experience or many, which drive them to find out what else is out there that is unexplored.

Because much of the technology being used for this field is newer, it is an open area of science, which still has a lot of evidence to yield and is able to captivate the interest of the scientific team member involved.

We consider our team to be a scientifically-driven, factually-motivated, logically-ambitious paranormal team of scientists who are forensically investigating spiritual fingerprints left in this world, or actual haunts.

The difference between our team and other teams is that we don't use psychics to do the hunting.

For this team to incorporate any psychic feelings into the "evidence vault", we will only allow it if it also goes alongside valid, logical, palpable data and verification by electronic data which backs it up, and/or with video or photographic proof.

Our evidence is scientifically backed up and sometimes it is also backed up by individual experiences and real conclusions.

We are logically driven, motivated and are comprised of professional, upstanding people in the local community.

RPI is comprised of a team of investigators, who have been driven (for varying reasons) to explore the paranormal.

We are avidly investigating areas North of Sacramento, and below the Oregon border.

We are devoted to finding answers to things that go bump in the night.

Not all answers found are of a paranormal nature, however we gather data and evidence to support both the paranormal evidence (when available) and logical evidence, and will present it to the patron to allow them to form an opinion of their own.

You will not find crazy, weird people, auto-writing, psychics, ouija boards, séances, assumptions of any kind that cannot be backed up without real evidence, or aluminum-hat-wearing strange people on our team.

We are comprised of very normal people. just like you.

We are scientists, driven by logic and we never enter an investigation with the idea that a place is haunted. Instead, we enter with an idea that we may be able to find logical reasons for your concerns, which may better help you to be at ease in the work place or at home.

RPI came together much like other paranormal teams do, and for the same, common reasons.

The founder of RPI had a personal experience which sparked interest in this area of the paranormal.

Once driven, it was hard to turn back. Unlike other paranormal investigative fields, which don't have a lot of easy evidence to find, this field has evidence readily available to anyone living in the world, anywhere in the world, and so it became a passion, and soon, the founder's family and close friends joined in investigating and for approximately 16 years, the team has done private investigations.

We explore new ideas and avenues of investigation which may open the field up for more technology in the future and welcome any new ideas you can toss our way to help aide in our search, and unlike the huge amount of other teams which popped up out of nowhere, we actually have enough data to share proving we have been around awhile, and we have spent years learning to do what we do, as well as we do.

RPI started 16 years ago, as of 2009, and began by investigating places for fun, with family and close friends. With time, things have become organized, and a formal name was given in 1999 (Shasta Paranormal Investigations - SPI),  and with the first digital camera introduced which was sufficient in dark areas, we have been able to better document evidence, as well as false evidence, by using better equipment.

When we first began, we had no equipment, but spent a lot of time "watching" and "investigating" the places of interest through various techniques.  A lot of personal experiences are remembered from those days way back when we didn't have a clue what we were doing, and unfortunately, hardly any of the things we did have as evidence remains, however technology and less non-paranormal causes were known for orbs, photographic anomalies and light sources, so we have a much better field to participate in since our introduction to electronics and digital cameras, around seven years ago.

Like other teams, we started from a very small pod, and have expanded with time.  Although some dates of investigations go as far back as 1993, we did not consider ourselves a "team" until around 2005.

In 2008, we officially went "public" and have formed a larger team, published Haunted Redding Dot Com, and are hitting the area as hard as we can to find data to help contribute to the field of paranormal investigation.

We changed our former name from SPI to RPI in 2001, because there are other teams using the SPI acronym, longer than we had, and we wanted to be considerate toward them..

Nearly every member of our team has experienced something completely unexplainable by conventional means, and this is what drives us toward finding answers.

Paranormal occurrences are sometimes a part of our lives, and we don't know why they happen to us, and not to other people we know, however, there are teams such as RPI out there diligently working hard to help people such as yourself.
