EVP means Electronic Voice Phenomenon which can be obtained by use of several different devices and techniques.

Our team uses digital audio devices, which capture words by entities which are often not heard while they are being spoken.

We also use video devices to capture both video and audio as well as tape-driven audio devices.

Here is some of our EVP footage. We're proud to share this with you, but it is not free for redistribution.

Whiskeytown, 2008. As we walk past a corner grave, asking if anyone wishes to communicate, we get this answer. "In too far".

Newtown
A child saying "woohoo" as we leave.
Someone states their name, which we believe is "Christy".
Interruption while we're talking.
A small child whines while we talk.
A knocking on the van windows as we pulled up. This EVP is kind of creepy. We had the audio on by accident, thank goodness, and as we pulled in, there was an audible rapping on the side window (behind the driver) of the van. The driver turned, and witnessed the window physically moving as the rapping occurred.
Again, a small child interrupts and says "doo-doo-doo" (a child's singing?) while the team is speaking.
A cuckoo noise goes off as Chanelle places broken items back onto the grave they came from. Someone had messed it up, and she felt it should all be returned to its place.

Lost city - Site of graves moved from the city that used to reside where Shasta Lake currently stands today.
A woman sings while we investigate, in the background. Was not audibly heard at the time.

Cascade Theatre
- The bathroom EVP was taken just as they enter the bathroom to begin investigating it.  You can hear another voice speaking.
The growl was taken in the side exit.
"Do you want us to leave" and an immediate "no".
It sounds like "go", but it's not very clear.  It was very low, so we have taken the opportunity to enhance that sound for you so that you can also hear it.  You will hear us say that we heard the noise.
"Help help" is whispered behind my voice.

AM House - Anderson, Ca., 11/02/08 - Private location.

A woman answers "what" - Sleepy in patron's laundry room.

More to come as we peel them out of the archives.
